spyro the dragon game stuck in loading screen for toasty

These games don't want me to hear them.Į: A cutscene it YotD went silent. By that I mean, on some parts of the song, it slows down and gets choppy. The only problem I've had so far is that the music 'skips' at some parts. I was pretty annoyed by the Spyro 2 business, so I started playing Spyro 3 (I intended to play them chronologically, but I guess not).

So, unless I can get that level to load, I have to start a new file and not enter that level (no 100% for me).

I tried cleaning the disk again, but it wouldn't load. I reset the game, again thinking I'd be taken to the homeworld. I cleaned the disc as I did when I had that problem with Skelos Badlands, but it still didn't work. About 5 times in that single loading/saving screen. Like how you see Spyro flying, it would stop briefly and start flying again. Then I try another level in the same area (Breeze Harbor I think) and it was pausing when it was loading. Then I took the disc out while it was loading and cleaned it. Since it autosaves, it would take me to the level I was in and not the homeworld (too used to Spyro 1), so when I chose my file it was stuck at 'the adventure continues.' because it's trying to load Skelos Badlands, which wasn't working. Skelos Badlands wouldn't load so I reset the game. 'You gotta go torch ripto! Torch Ripto! Torch Rip' I haven't had problems with anything besides cutscenes, yet.Īnyone else had this problem/know what's causing it/how to fix it? 'I HATE DRANS!' Sometimes it goes quiet for the rest of a cutscene, usually soon after ringing.

In cutscenes (and so far, only cutscenes), really weird things happen. So I 100/120%'d Spyro 1 this morning and moved onto Spyro 2. The only way I've got it working is to reset the game, which is annoying. I tried pausing/unpausing, changing audio settings (already had SFX 3 bars, music full) and exiting the level and re-entering it. The music kinda plays when a dragon is talking. The sound effects work fine, but there's 'machine gun' noise in the background. On Spyro 1, sometimes the music doesn't play. I don't know if it's a scratched disk or the system or what. Since I no longer have a working PS1 nor any PS1 memory cards, I played them on my PS3. I started playing my PS1 Spyro games again maybe two weeks ago.
